Alex Sloan is originally from Springfield, Tennessee, and now lives near downtown Nashville. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the prestigious O’More College in Franklin before working as an interior designer for Narofsky Architects in New York and, more recently, for McAlpine Booth & Ferrier, a top-100 design firm according to Architectural Digest.
Often sporting his signature bow tie, Alex prides himself in building trusting relationships with both buyers and sellers. He uses his knowledge and training to go the extra mile on his clients’ listings, making sure they are poised to sell for top dollar. He is caring and zealous about his work and, being gregarious by nature, fun to work with. Alex is uniquely capable of creating value through design. As an investor himself, he is quick to see the renovation potential in various types of homes.
In his free time, Alex enjoys relaxing with family north of Nashville or at his lake house in East Tennessee. He plays board games with unusual passion.
Alex and his colleague David Koellein listed and sold my condo in downtown Nashville in Jan-Feb 2016. Their proposed strategy for listing the property worked perfectly. Everything happened exactly as they predicted it would, from timing to the number and value of offers. Alex proposed some specific small repairs and cosmetic changes to the condo. He and David coordinated with repairmen, painters, and stagers, photographers, and executed each step in this process remarkably efficiently. The property was listed for one weekend – with two open houses – and it generated more than a dozen offers. After selecting an offer, we were able to move very quickly to a successful closing. Alex and David were always available to talk and think through any questions that I had. More than that, they were looking ahead to the next things I should be thinking about, so the only surprise was how quickly everything worked as we planned!

Working with Alex was an absolute pleasure, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy. He always acted in my best interest. As a first time home buyer, I pretty much had to have my hand he ld from start to close. Alex was patient, responsive, and made sure I was completely aware and confident of all the options available. He’s incredibly knowledgeable about the Nashville real estate market, and helped negotiate a great price for my one-bedroom loft.
